Description |
Three ivory kid leather opera-length gloves. Gloves are in good condition, the leather still soft. They show some staining and have a few holes (perhaps due to insects or rodents). The two gloves that are the same length appear to be a matched pair, but have the marks of two different manufacturers (both Parisian) printed on the inside. Gloves belonged to Mary Tarbell Schaffer, daughter of artist Edmund C. Tarbell. They was donated by Mary's great-nephew, Charles Tarbell, along wth Mary's wedding dress (stored in same box). |
