Description |
16.5 foot wooden dory/skiff, made by Fred White in 1975, original plans were from Tommy Davidson. Fred made a previous skiff in the 1950s from Davidson's original plans; dory/skiff is flat bottomed and made of pine and oak; purchased from Carol White. On display on the lawn of NCHS. Includes 6 colored photos of Fred building the dory-skiff and 3 black & white photos of the dory-skiff at mooring on River Road. The b&w photos are either the dory-skiff Fred White built in 1974 or the previous dory-skiff which he built. The 1974 skiff was an exact replica of the earlier boat. |
