This folder is labeled 1760 and contains four documents: A. An indenture agreement dated 14 April 1760 between Joseph Newmarch, Thomas Bell Esq., and Nathanael Sargent all of New Castle of the one part, and William Frost of the other part. That Peter Blanchard (a poor child, age 12 years and 6 months) will work as an apprentice until he is 21 as an indentured servant for William Frost. Frost is to teach Blanchard to read, write, and cypher (do math). It is signed by William Frost, Henry Prescott, Mary Prescott, Grace Daring(?) John Newmarch, and W.Clagett B. A receipt for money paid to John Randel for work done on the new rim to the weal of the bell and hanging the bell (25 March 1761), making a block and fastening it in place (2 July 1761), for making the belfry door and more work on the bell (April 1762), and for work done on the parish house (November 1762). C. A notification for assemblymen from New Castle and Rye to come together on Monday, 18 January 1762 to the meeting house in New Castle to elect two new members. The document was signed on 1 January 1762 by Joseph Newmarch, Thomas Bell, William Frost (all from New Castle), and William Seavey from Rye. Captain George Frost was voted as the moderator and as a representative from New Castle, and Richard Jennes (Jenness) as a representative from Rye. D.
